On April 13, 2024, the 29th China International Education Exhibition Tour (CIEET), hosted by Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE), was held in Beijing. It attracted hundreds of colleges and institutions from more than 20 countries in attendance. Grenoble Ecole de Management (GEM), representing French institutions, participated in the exhibition and garnered attention from many students and parents.
Tim Zhang, Chief Representative of GEM Beijing Center, accepted an interview on the exhibition day by the Oriental Horizon program of CCTV 13, China Central Television News Channel. He stated,, ‘this year is the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and France. France has issued a series of preferential policies for attracting more international students from China. For instance, students who have completed a master’s degree will be granted a 5-year long-term visa published by the French government.’
‘In the past, students going to France mainly chose fields like management and marketing, but now students are more focused on specialized industries, such as sports and outdoor market management, fashion and luxury goods management, and energy management master’s degrees, which are highly sought after by students.’He added, ‘The Olympic Games will be held in Paris, France in July this year. The master’s degree in sports and outdoor management will once again become a popular major. Located in the Alps, GEM is a ski resort and the venue for the Winter Olympics, so GEM’s unique and innovative major, the master’s degree in sports and outdoor market management, has become a popular choice for consultation by students and parents recently.’
It is understood that GEM has comprehensively adjusted its MSc program system, once again emphasizing its unique DNA in “Technology and Innovation Management”. By daring to imagine future professions and responding effectively to potential market demands, GEM has built a foundation for the future by leveraging its own advantages, while also launching MSc programs including artificial intelligence, sustainability transformation, energy management, and innovation management, to address future challenges.
GEM attracted numerous inquiries from students and parents during the CIEET event. The main points of concern include choice of major, cost, language requirements, school location, and school ranking. The cost of studying in France is cheaper than in most European countries. To save time and costs for students studying abroad, GEM Beijing Center has introduced the ‘Grenoble École de Management Master Pathway Program’. It offers two approaches for students to apply to GEM: 1) MP Direct Application: For students who meet the application requirements of GEM MSc programs, we will provide comprehensive admission consultation and guidance to help them receive an official offer on their first attempt, ensuring a fast and accurate study abroad planning process; 2) MP Pre-master: For students who are not yet prepared for temporary planning, language score preparation, and transdisciplinary applications, we offer the ‘onshore + offshore’ method to study the Pre-master program authorized by GEM. This allows students to have a relatively accurate and speedy opportunity to study at GEM while also guaranteeing a 100% admission scholarship (20% tuition fee reduction for the master’s program). This lays a solid foundation for studying abroad as well as daily life success.
“Through the MP Pre-Master courses, students can directly apply for GEM’s 1-year MSc master’s degree across disciplines. This is very good news for Chinese students, as it will greatly improve their professional selectivity, as well as study time and costs.”, Tim Zhang introduced to journalists.
It is reported that after 24 years of development, CIEET has become one of the most influential, largest-scale, and comprehensive international education exhibitions in China. Grenoble Ecole de Management will continue to participate in the CIEET tours in Wuhan on April 17 and Guangzhou on April 21. Interested students and parents are welcome to attend.
